Valentine's Day Treats

Valentine's Day Fun!
(We have purposely left out the globs of chocolate on the floor, chunks
of sticky marshmallow on the chairs, and red sprinkles scattered
everywhere to further your  personal visual enjoyment.)
Why is it that kids always enjoy the messy projects more? Marshmallows, pretzels, melted chocolate and sprinkles. Yummm.
The kids had a blast dipping and decorating all the treats to be delivered to their AWANA classes that night as a little pre-Valentine's day party.

Bright Colors & Sweet Smells

I love the Fall.  The air is sweet, the weather is cool and crisp, the colors are bright and warm, and the bugs are almost gone. We love walking downtown this time of year....okay we love walking downtown any time of the year, but it is especially beautiful right now.

I try to get the kids outside as much as possible during the Fall season, knowing that cold winter weather makes it so much harder for us to get outside. So, we are absolutely loving that October is already here and we are still enjoying such amazing weather!

This weekend we are pulling out the dying flowers from out front and building our little fall display of happy scarecrows, fall leaves & pumpkins.

Nuts Over Sherwood!

We recently did a mini marathon of Sherwood Pictures movies.  We can't help but be completely inspired after watching an entire evening of God-inspired films.  I am personally excited to find out that their next movie, called Courageous, comes out just after my birthday.  No need to guess what gift I'll be asking for!

I'm not sure why really, but my favorite is actually their first one, called Flywheel.  It's a poor production, even poorer acting, kinda cheesy plot,  but there is something in the fact that it's raw and real that appeals to my heart. I am a real sucker for the "real deal" and "keepin it raw." This one was God's baby not theirs.  They had no idea what they were doing, no idea what God would do with it,  but left it in His hands.....and WOW, what God can do!  That's the kind of success story that motivates people!
